Do you wonder if you should trust the gardening information you read online? Illinois Extension provides research-based information to help you garden more confidently. We will explore resources available to local gardeners and learn more about the Master Gardener and Master Naturalist volunteer program.

 

Speaker: Sarah Ruth, Program Coordinator

Sarah Ruth has coordinated the Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair Master Gardener and Master Naturalist volunteer programs since 2011. Her appreciation for gardening and nature started on her family farm near Mascoutah. Although not officially a Master Gardener or Master Naturalist, she has enjoyed the opportunity to expand her personal knowledge through the Illinois Extension programs and connections with the volunteers.

The talk will be presented at the Glen Carbon Senior Center. A potluck lunch is provided by the Edwardsville Garden Club; guests are welcome to attend the lunch.

A general business meeting follows the program.
