Folk singer, storyteller, musician, and music historian Mike Anderson brings the music of the American Civil War to life using instruments from that era and played by the men who fought in the war. Artfully interwoven into the music are stories from the formative years of the young man who became the sixteenth President of the United States, creating an event that is educational, entertaining, and memorable. While band instruments are commonly associated with Civil War music, Mike will utilize the banjo, mountain dulcimer, jawharp, bones, and various handmade instruments to bring the songs to life and invite the audience to sing along with the classics.
