The annual run carried on in its 59th year since being started by Jim Wigger of Alton. Hundreds of people from accross the country attend the event every year to experience the course that runs along the scenic Great River Road.
When news of a family not having a Thanksgiving dinner became known, local organizations worked together fast to not let that happen. With a little help from Santa, a full Thanksgiving meal was delivered just in time to celebrate the holiday.
