The city of Jerseyville gets in the holiday spirit with its annual tree lighting ceremony.
The Abundant Life Church, with assistance from the Salvation Army, provided Thanksgiving meals to those in need in the river bend. The annual event adjusted to work around Covid restrictions by providing to go meals.
Each year TorHoerman Law donates turkeys to families in the river bend community in an effort to provide everyone the opportunity to celebrate a traditional Thanksgiving. This year totaled 600 turkeys in all.
Due to Covid restrictions, Alton's annual tree lighting ceremony will be streamed live for all to see.
