The Woodlawn Cemetery in Edwardsville held a walking tour through their cemetery that included 'voices of the past' in the form of actors that represented past citizens of Edwardsville. Each actor dressed according to their period and gave informational speeches on the history of the town.

With the help of several local artist, the YWCA decided to add a mural on the outside of the building next to the classrooms. The artists helped collect the materials and designed the outline of the project. The children then got to add their own designs and paint the scene as they saw fit.
