Wayne M. Jones, age 64, passed away at 9:25 pm Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on May 29, 1947 in Kentucky, the son of Dewey and Betty (Miller) Jones.
He married Sharon Bornes in Alton on May -, 1967 and she survives.
Wayne served his country in the Army and then in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked at K-Mart in management for 35 years. He loved fishing, watching TV, had a love for animals, was always joking and had a good heart.
His wife, mother, two daughters Marianne and husband David Young of Alton, Jennifer and husband Ronnie Schuessler of Alton, one granddaughter Brittney Schuessler, a brother in law and sister in law Frank and Karon Esarey of Jerseyville and a niece and a nephew, survives him.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father.
Per his wishes Cremation Rites will be accorded.
Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
Memorials may be directed to the Disabled Veterans of America.
