Vernon Randle

Vernon Cornelious Randle Jr., 27, died at 6:55 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024 at St. Louis University Hospital. Born June 30, 1997 in Peoria, IL, he was the son of Marilyn J. (Payton) Wright and the late Vernon Cornelious Randle Sr.

Vernon's interests included playing basketball, skating, and boxing, and he enjoyed music, both playing and listening, and even created a song with his uncle Terry Payton and his brother Tyler Randle. He played basketball for Edwardsville High School in 2015. After losing his father to liver cancer in January 2014 and his brother (best friend) in June 2017, Vernon remained a playful and joyful person. He was known for being loving and caring, putting others' needs first and offering help without expecting anything in return. Vernon was a loyal brother, always supporting his family through various circumstances. He adored his nieces and nephew, often babysitting and spending quality time with them. Vernon was a great son, providing care and support to his parents and others.

Vernon last worked at a Warehouse in Edwardsville IL.  Along with his mother (Gary), he is survived by three brothers, Michael Anthony Young Jr., Keenan Brown, and Sette Maurice Randle (Reshelle), and two sisters, Tory Mack (Chaviss) and Feleshea (Pay), and along with his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Tyler Randle.
