Vera B “Jacobs” Weigel, 94, passed away at 11:25 pm Monday August 29, 2016 at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab in Hardin.
She was born on September 20, 1921 in Golden Eagle, the daughter of Fred & Elizabeth (Krause) Jacobs.
Vera married Walter A. Weigel and he preceded her in death in February 1992.
She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Brussels and loved to play bingo and cards. In addition she was an antique enthusiast and Vera and Walt ran an antique shop in Grafton, IL.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent & Clifford Jacobs.
Visitation will be from 10 am until time of Funeral Services at 11 am Friday September 2, 2016 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Brussels with Pastor Jason Reed officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Matthew Cemetery in Brussels.
