Thomas Vern White, 77 passed away at his residence on December 2, 2024 at 5:45 p.m.
He was born on October 14, 1947 in Alton, IL to Thomas and Hortense (Stiritz) White.
He proudly served in the United States Army. Thomas worked as a Laborer for Labor Local #218. He was a member of Masons, American Legion, Alton-Wood River Sportsmen's Club, Alton Eagles Lodge #254, VFW Post #1308. He was a avid fisherman, enjoyed duck hunting and mushroom hunting. Thomas also enjoyed reading, baking, and loved candy.
Thomas is survived by Son, Thomas Vern White, Jr of Olney, Illinois and Daughter, Angela Rose White of Dow, Illinois. Granddaughters, Laylah Anne Hart, and Julia Nicole White. Grandsons, Keegan William Hart, Nathaniel Thomas Hart, and Daxton Kia White. His Sisters, Beverly Nevins of Godfrey, Illinois, Alice (Rick) Estebo of Menominee, Michigan, and Carlita Bornes of Medora, Illinois. Along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Step-Daughter, Sonia Crawford, Brother, Ben White, and two Brother-in laws, Leon Bornes, and Norris Nevins.
Visitation will be Friday, December 6, 2024 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes - Godfrey, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held on December 6, 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, Illinois with Pastor Randle Copeland, officiating.
Private Burial will be held at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery.
