Thomas “Tom” Armstrong, age 63, of Glen Carbon, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at his home. Tom was born on April 22, 1958, in St. Louis, MO, a son of Grace (Catalano) Armstrong and the late William Armstrong.
On July 9, 1987, Tom married Sharon Keilbach. Tom was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and a dear friend to many. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his father, Tom was preceded in death by a brother, George Armstrong.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon Armstrong; dear mother, Grace Armstrong; loving children, Darrin Mersinger, Jim (Jennifer) Mersinger and Gary (Stephanie) Mersinger; proud grandfather to Ashton, Aubrie, Maddy, Mason, Morgan, Abby, and Micah; siblings, Frank Armstrong and Jo Ann Armstrong; nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Tom requested to be cremated and to have no formal services.
