Terry Allen Ruppel, 78, of Dorsey, IL, died at Alton Memorial Hospital, Alton, IL on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 11:05 am.
He was born March 1, 1947 to Percy Ruppel & Evelyn Johnson Ruppel. He married Tammy (Orf) Ruppel. He was retired after having been an automobile mechanic.
Terry was a veteran of the US Army after having served during Vietnam. He was a member of the Dream Weavers Motorcycle Club. Terry was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed rebuilding vintage cars and tractors.
He is survived by his spouse, Tammy Ruppel of Dorsey, IL, son, Justin (Emily) Ruppel of Carlinville, IL, grandchildren, Teagan Ruppel, Thryston Ruppel, siblings, Kathleen Hancock of Elk City, OK, Diane Cato of Bethalto, IL, Philip Ruppel of New Port Richey, FL.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Emmaus Lutheran Church Dorsey from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm with memorial services to follow at the church at 3:00 pm. Memorials are suggested to Emmaus Lutheran Church, 5215 Loop Rd, Dorsey, IL 62021 or Hartbauer McBride Memorial Foundation - Bikers Helping Bikers, 7853 Wolf Road, Bethalto, IL 62010.
