Susan Knecht (nee Van Dan Elzen), 80, of O’Fallon, IL, born on April 3, 1946, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at La Bella of Caseyville.
Susan was a fascinating woman. A graduate with honors at McKendree College, a retired special education teacher, a Bible and Sunday school teacher, and a home-school teacher to her sons.
Left to cherish Susan's memory are her beloved husband, Arthur D. Knecht Jr.; sons, Arthur D. Knecht III, Robert Mark Knecht; daughter-in-law, Alyssa Knecht; and four grandsons, Devin Knecht, Dylan Knecht, Drew Knecht, and Dustin Knecht.
