Stephen Harrison

Stephen Leroy Harrison, 81, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehab.  He was born on July 7, 1943, in Alton, the son of the late Eldon and Ida (Moore) Harrison.  He married the former Sharon Hinds in 2001 in Grafton and she survives.  Other survivors include a daughter: Randa (Brian Grieme) Hinds of Springfield, Illinois, a son and daughter in law: Scott and Jessica Hinds of Godfrey, three grandchildren: Abigail, Emily, Hunter, and many other extended family and friends.

Stephen was a Foreman at the Wood River Power Station in the Coal Yard for many years prior to his retirement in 2003.  He was a member of the Smoke’n  Aces Poker Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Dennis.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. 

Memorials are suggested to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
