Sidney Howard Stauffer, 76, of Gillespie, IL, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 9:38 am.
Sid was born October 22, 1949, in Sikeston, MO to Howard Stauffer & Mary Ruth Roach. He was a French teacher in Gillespie, IL. Sid was a stamp collector, coin collector, avid news viewer, avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan and enjoyed Gillespie High School sports.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Kathy, son Dennis, daughter-in-law Becca, two beautiful granddaughters Brynn and Blair, brother-in-law Paul Obertino (Barb), sister-in-law Karen Obertino, sister Gail Mathews and nieces. He had an extended family of Matt, Nikki, Mia, Sloane and Ella Brawner, Casey, Sadie, and Gigi Sholtis, Jake and Haeden Kellebrew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis.
A celebration of life will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Partnership For Educational Excellence District #7 PO BOX 125, Gillespie, IL 62033.
