Sharon L. Wagner (nee Simmons), 76, of O’Fallon, IL, born on June 28, 1949, in Enid, OK, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her residence in O’Fallon, IL surrounded by her loving family.
Sharon loved life! She enjoyed travel, cruises, Las Vegas, watching golf, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Her engaging personality and quick wit lit up the room when she entered whether with friends or complete strangers. Strong family unity meant Grandma’s house was the place to be for her two children, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Everyone was important to her and all felt secure, wrapped in her unconditional love. Sharon was married to her husband, Gordon, for 57 years. She was his true love and soul mate.
Sharon was preceded in death by twin sister, Karen Burkholder.
Left to cherish Sharon’s memory is her loving husband, Gordon Wagner; children, Lisa (Roy) Jones, Rob (Eva) Wagner; grandchildren, Aaron (Sarah) Jones, Hannah (Mitchell) Herbert, Adam Jones, Peyton (Cameron) Lane; great-grandchildren, Maple Lane, Indie Lane; brother-in-law, Mark (Debbie) Wagner; sister-in-law, Eileen Tramantano; and best friend, Anna (Rick) Antonelli.
