Sharon Storey, 84, passed away at 3:18pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born on August 25, 1941, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret (Powers) Shirley.
She married Allan Storey on August 9, 1962, in Uncastleville, Connecticut, and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter and son in law: Heather and Phillip Generally of Wood River, a granddaughter: Mallory Lovings of San Diego, California, a brother: Duane “Hop” Shirley of East Alton, a sister in law: Janice Shirley of Edwardsville, her nephews and nieces: Chris, Kyle, Craig, Christy, Lori, Rhonda, many great nephews, great nieces, nieces, and many other extended family and friends.
A homemaker, Sharon loved going to Walmart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Dale Shirley.
In accordance with her wishes, Sharon will be gifted to St. Louis University for anatomical donation.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
