Sharon K. Maguire, 62, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born March 5, 1962 in St. Louis, she was a daughter of Charles and Gladys (Bess) Deering.
Sharon had worked in home healthcare several years ago. She enjoyed watching television but her favorite activity was reading books, and she had read several hundreds of them.
She is survived by her daughter, Amber Durie; three sisters, Shirley (Shelby) Gibson of East Alton, Virginia Gibson of Alton, and Angela Parish of Indiana; two brothers, Ricky Deering of St. Louis and Jimmie Wallace of Wilsonville, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael Maguire; a sister, Carolyn Nicholson; and a brother, Larry Deering.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 11 a.m. until services begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
