Sarah Vasilovich

Sarah Ann "Sally" Vasilovich, age 73 of Highland, IL, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Highland, IL.

She was born on June 23, 1952, in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of Blake and Arlene (nee Bartlett) Vasilovich. Sally spent most of her life in Eastlake, OH, and was a 1970 graduate of Eastlake North High School.

Sally enjoyed several vocations and hobbies throughout her life. Bowling was a large part of her life beginning at Shoregate Lanes in Willowick, OH, and later teaching children to bowl. She also worked as a school bus driver for the Willoughby-Eastlake School System, retiring to care for her aging parents at home. Sally even spent a summer at Cedar Point Amusement Park, which was on her bucket list of things to do. She also enjoyed golfing, softball, and snow skiing, and later watching these sports on TV. She was in a number of bowling associations over the years.

Survivors include her sisters - Elaine Wilson, Highland, IL and Sue (Bill) Flick, Birmingham, AL; nieces & nephews - Sandra (Christopher) Depping, Patrick Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Michelle (Steve) Hodge and Allen (Melissa) Flick; and many great nieces & nephews.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents – Blake & Arlene Vasilovich (nee Bartlett); infant siblings - Nancy Vasilovich and Blake Vasilovich, Jr.; her brother-in-law - Rick Wilson; her grandparents and several uncles and aunts.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Sally may be made to the Lake Humane Society & Adoption Center (Mentor, OH) in honor of her love of animals (https://lakehumane.org/).
