Sandra Jean Leeson, 87, passed away at 1:26 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at her residence.
She was born on October 9, 1937 in Alton, IL. to Harry and Helen (Stolze) McCracken.
She married Robert L. Lesson on June 27, 1959 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, IL. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2021.
She attended school at Marquette Catholic High School. Sandra worked as a corporate secretary for Millers Mutual. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Sandra is survived by six nieces and nephews, John (Renee) Balaco, David (Valerie) Balaco, Rosemary (Chris) Stahlschmidt, Robert (Debi) Balaco, Michael Balaco, Kathleen Schneider; along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, nephew Sam Balaco, brother-in-law John Louis Lesson, and sister-in-law Joan Ahlemeyer.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, IL.
Private burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Alton, IL.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Marquette Cathoic High School.
