Samantha Michelle Danow, 18 died suddenly on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at her residence from complications of anorexia, which she has been battling for several years.
She was born on February 13, 1994 in Houston, Missouri to DeAnna M. (Unterbrink) and John A. Danow. They both survive.
She was a student at Lewis and Clark College in Godfrey and she loved animals.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by and will be greatly missed by a half sister and her spouse, Leslie and Karl Cushing and a niece and two great nephews of Warren, Michigan; her aunts, Elizabeth Unterbrink of Moro, Yvonne Thomas of Collinsville and Gayle Pohlman of Jerseyville and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gerald and Patsy Unterbrink and paternal grandparents, Andrew and Marie Danow.
Visitation will be from 1 until service time at 3 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto with Pastor Mark Hofferber officiating.
Memorials may be made to family in care of the funeral home.
