Rose Sirko

Rose Marie Sirko (nee Buitkus) , 91, of New Douglas, IL, passed away peacefully at Staunton Health and Rehab Center on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11:00 pm with family by her side.

She was born July 1, 1933, in East St. Louis, IL to Anthony & Josephine Buitkus.

She married Albert Dominic Sirko on September 5, 1953 at Immaculate Conception Church in East St. Louis, IL. They shared 65 years of marriage before his passing on November 12, 2018. Rose was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, spouse and sister, Julie Nelson.

Per her wishes the rite of cremation was performed. There will be no services or memorials.
