Rose Kinder

Rose Ann Kinder, 72, passed away at 8:30 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Charles, Missouri.

She was born on June 3, 1953, in Calhoun County, Illinois, the daughter of the late Edgar and Florence (Nagel) Goetze. Rose Ann was baptized at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Brussels, a church that remained meaningful to her throughout her life.

She married Hugh Edward Kinder on August 29, 1981, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Brussels, and together they built a life rooted in family, faith and the quiet joys of home. Hugh preceded her in death on December 18, 2021.

Rose Ann devoted her career to caring for others as a nurse with BJC Healthcare. Nursing was more than a profession for her, it was an extension of her natural compassion and desire to help those around her.

At home, she found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking and baking, often sharing her food generously with family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, tending to her garden, and spending time outdoors. Some of her most cherished memories were made traveling with Hugh, exploring new places together and enjoying the journey side by side.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Megan Kinder of Golden Eagle; a granddaughter, Cassidy Joann Kinder; and three brothers, Paul (Mary Lou) Goetze of Calhoun County, Fred Goetze of Pike County, and Richard (Debbie) Goetze of Pike County.

Private graveside services were held on  Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Kinder Family Cemetery in Golden Eagle.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.  at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Saint Charles, Missouri.

Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Brussels American Legion Post #685 or to a charity of one’s choice.
