Rosalie Lucas

Rosalie J. Lucas, 95, passed away at 12:10pm on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 27, 1928, in Alton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Hartman) Lucas. Survivors include a sister: Ethel McCoy of Edwardsville, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Rosalie was formerly employed at the 1st National Bank of Wood River. She was of the Catholic Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Florence Rohlfing, two brothers: Louis Lucas, and Bill Lucas.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastor Dan Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the 5A’s.
