Roger Roscoe Day, 52, of Kane, died at 4:00 a.m., Friday, December 7, 2012 at his residence.He was born in Jerseyville on Dec. 25, 1959, the son of the late Amos and Mrytle Gusta (Crabtree) Day.Surviving are a daughter, Danielle Day of Carrollton; a son, Dalton Whitlock of Dow; two brothers, Dallas Day of Jerseyville and Bruce Day of Kane; and half brothers & sisters, Vicki Pocklington, Linda Bondy, Joanne Cross, Roy Day and Ellie Crabtree.He was preceded in death by his father, Amos Day; and his mother, Myrtle Kelley.Visitation will be from 9 a.m., Thursday until time of funeral services at 11 a.m., at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.  Rev. Wilbur Cain will officiate.Burial will be in the Providence Cemetery in rural Carrollton.Memorials may be given to his family in care of the funeral home.
