Roberta Wenzel

Roberta J. Wenzel, 86, of Carlinville, IL, died at Carlinville Area Hospital, Carlinville, IL on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 6:10 am.

She was born January 23, 1939, in Mt Clare, IL to Fred B Barnabe & Lucy Rosa Barnabe.

Roberta married Mike Wenzel III on February 15, 1958 at St. Joseph's Church in Benld, IL. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1966.

She was retired as a secretary/bookkeeper for Macoupin County Regional Office of Education.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Frank) Ruyle of Carlinville, IL, grandchildren, Haley Ruyle of Carlinville, IL, Michael William (Molly) Ruyle of Carlinville, IL, great-granddaughters, Luna, Scarlett, sister, Esther Barnabe of Carlinville, IL, nephew, Fred E (Liz) Barnabe, nieces, Rachel (Bill) Pranger, Riane Greenwalt, Bettina (Michael) Lever.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, brother and sister in law, Fred A & Betty Barnabe. P
