Robert W. Rusher, 78 of Shipman, died at 12:02 A.M. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at his residence.
He was born in Carlinville, Illinois on May 30, 1937 to the late Ray & Lillie Mae (Gray) Rusher.
Robert retired from Laclede Steel after many years of service and was a member of the Steel Workers Union
He married Dorothy Ann (Gall) Rusher on November 30, 1958 in Virden, Illinois. She survives and resides in Shipman.
Also surviving are 3 Daughters and son in law; Anita Ulrich of St. Peters, Mo., Rita Stepp of St. Louis, Mo., Lisa Rusher and her husband Larry of Springfield, 3 granddaughters; Samantha & Stella Urlich and Ariel Grucza, 1 Great Grandson; Fredrick Grucza, 4 sisters; Patty Page of Gillispie, Sharon Hankins of Mt. Olive, Judi Miller of Maple Falls Washington, Nancy Wasylenko of Litchfield and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 sisters.
Per Robert's wishes he was cremated. No services are scheduled.
St. Jude's Hospital for Children has been named as a memorial.Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements
