Robert “Bobby” Dale Williams, 74, passed away at 3:37 pm on Monday, February 27, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
He was born on January 8, 1938 in Alton, IL, the son of Samuel Goldman and Jessie (Watkins) Williams.
He married Judy Vail in Godfrey on June 26, 1982. She survives.
Bobby was a laborer for the Laborers Union 338. He enjoyed fishing, working on lawn mowers and his dogs, Hobo, Amber and Pup Pup.
In addition to Judy of Sorento, he is survived by his children, Tammy Yurek, Chad Harbison, Kelly Williams, Cathy Staynor, Jeffery Vail, Stacey Woodward and Jonathan Vail; several grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Rosemary Williams of Hartford and Jimmy and Sherry Williams of O’Fallon, IL and his nieces and nephews, which he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Amy Vail-Thiems, a sister, Eleanor Williams and two brothers, Billy Joe and Danny Keith Williams.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 pm on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Funeral services will be at 11am on Monday, March 5, 2012 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
