Robert (Bob) Eugene Blackledge, 80, passed away on Nov 24 2024.
Robert was born on Oct. 23 1944 in Ingerham IL to the late Authur and Helen Blackledge.
Robert was a Vietnam veteran and enjoyed hanging out at the Wood River VFW and the East Alton American Legion watching and talking about sports, especially baseball, and his favorite team, the Minnesota Twins.
Robert was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Grover and Lola Harmon, his parents, Authur and Helen Blackledge, the mother of his children, Charlotte Blackledge, and daughter, Brandi Jo Blackledge.
Robert is survived by his brother Jim (Bonnie) Blackledge, his 3 daughters, Bridget (Travis) Burks, Brenna Blackledge and Bryce (Bill) Yinger, 6 grandchildren, Jarod (Kara) Burks, Abby (Colton) Yinger, Faith Yinger, Savannah (Trevor) Warren, Billy Yinger and Jeremy Burks, and one great granddaughter, Zoey.
A celebration of life will be held at the Wood River VFW Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 from 3-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family the Wood River VFW or the East Alton American Legion.
