Patrick Allan Zillen, 69, of Gillespie, IL, died at St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield, IL on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 4:32 p.m. He was born July 29, 1955, in East Saint Louis, IL to John Zillen & Dorothy Haynes Zillen. He married Deborah K. Snyder Zillen. He was retired after having been an auditor for the State of Illinois. Patrick was a dedicated father, a loving husband to his wife of 48 years, a proud veteran of the United State Navy and a loyal St. Louis Cardinals fan. His kindness, unwavering support and sense of humor touched everyone he loved. He will be remembered for his generosity and selflessness. He is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie, his loving children, Patrick and spouse, Patricia of Mt. Olive, IL, Tina of Gillespie, IL and his cherished grandson, Quintin of Mt. Olive, IL. Patrick is also survived by his sister, Constance Orasco of St. Louis, MO, several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, best friends, Claude Jacobs of Springfield, IL and Steve Winans of Jacksonville, FL. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mike, sisters, Kris and Kathi. He had a good life and he was loved. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. The world is now a little darker without him in it. This is not a goodbye, but an "I love you" and "We'll see you later." No public services will be held.
