Patricia Lindley

Patricia S. Lindley, 78, passed away at 7:50 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at her home. 

She was born September 9, 1946, in Alton, IL the daughter of Wesley W. And Zella V. (Lee) Emde. On November 23, 1968, she married the love of her life, James G. Lindley at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto and the two of them celebrated 55 years of marriage together. 

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother "granny," sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she was in hand bells, in the Stephen Ministry and a kindergarten aid for 7 years. Patti enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, fishing, traveling, playing slots, and in her younger years played on a bowling league. 

Patti is survived by her husband, James G. Lindley of Bethalto, IL; children, Jim A. and Kellie Lindley of Port Bryon, IL, Karen and Howard Wegman of St. Louis, MO, Jay and Tricia Lindley of Bethalto, IL, and Warren and Kathy Lindley of Chicago, IL; siblings, Don and Emma Emde of Godfrey, IL, Danni and Cheryl Emde of Tucson, AZ, Bryon and Lori Emde of Bethalto, IL, and Andrea Emde of Jupiter, FL; grandchildren, Nick, Drew, Alex, Rhyis, Justice, Kaylee, Aidan, Carson, Trey, Myah, and Madison; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Judy and Bob Doerr of Elsa, IL, Janice and Merle Shelton of Hazelwood, MO, Jackie and Tim Francis of Godfrey, IL ,and Dorothy and Gary Lewey of Las Vegas, NV; dear friends, Carole, Linda, Sharon and Larry, John and Marsha, and Brenda and Sandy; along with several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; nephews, Brett Carnes and Rick Embry; and Mother and Bus. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 1 p.m. until the Celebration of Life at 4 p.m. at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Zion Church and School in Bethalto or OSF Hospice.
