Patricia Ann Canaday, 86, of Edwardsville, IL, formerly of Bunker Hill, IL, died at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO on Monday, December 8, 2025.
She was born October 17, 1939, in Dorchester, IL to William Snedeker & Merle Olmstead Snedeker.
She married Maurice Canaday on June 7, 1959 in the Berean Baptist Church in Bunker Hill, IL. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2013.
She was a manager in retail. Throughout her life, Patricia enjoyed gardening, traveling, decorating and the community events in Bunker Hill.
She is survived by her two children, Melanie Canaday of Bunker Hill, IL, Michele Canaday of Edwardsville, IL, grandchildren, Jennifer Talley, Matthew Talley, sisters, Peggy (Bill) Funkhauser of Godfrey, IL, Betsy (Ron) Hutson of Bunker Hill, IL, Kathy (David) DiGabrielle of Olympia, WA.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and spouse.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 1pm - 5pm at 49 Nickel Plate Drive, Edwardsville, IL.
Memorials are suggested to Alzheimers Association or Bunker Hill Beautification Committee.
