Michael Solomon

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Michael Solomon, Jr. who left us on December 4, 2025, at his home in Boca Raton, FL

He was born on October 18, 1971, in Alton, IL, the son of Michael R. and Sondra K. (Ratliff) Solomon.

Michael graduated from Civic Memorial High School in 1989 and attended Lewis and Clark College before joining the family business. Mike went on to excel in a 30-year career in logistics with positions that spanned across the U.S. His most proud accomplishment was being the father of Kenady and Kai whom he dearly loved. In his earlier years Mike enjoyed horseback riding, boating, and hosting BBQ’s. Mike will forever be known for his sense of humor, kind heart, and gentle soul.

He is survived by his father, Michael of Boca Raton, FL; children, Kenady Solomon and Kai Solomon, both of Kirkwood, MO; siblings, Michelle (Gregg) Oneal of Louisville, KY, Gabrielle (Ron) Schuster of Boca Raton, FL, Sarah (Michael) Hollingsead of Norman, OK, and Abigail (Adam) Ward of Edwardsville; his step-mother, Connie Solomon of Norman, OK; a step-brother, Edward Solomon of Norman, OK; and 16 nieces and nephews.

Along with his mother, Sondra, he was preceded in death by grandparents, David Solomon, Louise Solomon, Loman and Mabel Ratliff; and a sister, Dana Mastrangelo.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, where funeral services will be held at 10 am, on Monday, December 29, 2025. Pastor Ron Woods will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
