Michael Basham

Michael “Scott” Basham, 48, passed away at 12:55 pm on Sunday, November 13, 2016, at his home.He was born December 24, 1967, in Alton, the son of Peggy Beckham of Bethalto.Scott married Michelle C., Davidson on November 10, 2011, in Edwardsville. She survives.He was a mechanic for Mullins Auto Parts in Mt. Olive, Illinois. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing, and RC racing.In addition to his wife, Michelle, survivors include his mother, Peggy Beckham of Bethalto; his step father and step mother, Warren and Tammy Beckham of Bethalto; three children, Megan Basham of Cottage Hills, Aaron Basham of Cottage Hills, Hannah Kay Aldrich of East Alton; four grandchildren, Bradan, Jace, Kallie, and Kenlea; four siblings and their spouses, Shannon and Billie Blair of Moro, David and Julie Beckham of Wood River, Mary Hurst of Bethalto, Corey and Dannielle Beckham of Alton; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a son, Jacob Basham; one sister, Cheri Copeland; and maternal grandparents, James and Georgia Basham.Visitation will be from 2 pm until time of service at 4pm, Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home with Dale Norris officiating.Cremation rites have been accorded.Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.An online condolence and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com .
