Michael Forsythe

Michael Forsythe, 54, of Belleville, IL, born on October 17, 1971, on Travis Air Force Base of Fairfield, CA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Belleville Memorial Hospital.

Michael and his family moved around during his childhood, typical of a military family, before they settled in the O’Fallon area. He was a fan of crime procedural television shows, such as 'NCIS' and 'FBI.' Michael was also an avid collector of matchbox cars and fantasy dragon figurines. He liked science fiction, one of his favorite depictions being the television show 'Southgate SG-1.'

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Robert Forsythe.

Left to cherish Michael’s memory is his mother, Karin Forsythe (nee Grimm); his sister, Rhonda (James Copling) Forsythe; his nephews, Nathanial Kroboth, Kristian Flannery, and Benjamyn Forsythe; in addition to many dear friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
