Melissa Renee Badgett, 23, of Collinsville and formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born March 8, 2002, in Glen Carbon, Illinois.
Melissa had a love for animals and was especially fond of horses. She will be missed and always loved by her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Kimberly K. (Powers) Badgett of Granite City; her father, Bradley R. Badgett of Edwardsville and two sisters, Melanie Badgett of Granite City and Madelyn Badgett of Edwardsville. She also leaves behind many aunts and uncles; cousins; other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlotte Sutton, Jack Powers and Duane and Eileene Badgett.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until time of a memorial service at 7:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the National Alliance for Mental Health and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
