Matthew Gallup

Matthew Joseph Gallup, 27, went to rest at 5:00 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2024 at his home. He was born June 6, 1997 in Alton, the son of Donald and Kimberly Ann (Sweeney) Gallup.

He was a business owner of Matt’s Lawncare and Landscape and a union laborer of Local union 42. Besides his parents he is survived by his fiancé, Justyce Gallup of Moro, a son, Zaxtyn Gallup of Moro, one sister, Arayah Gallup of Cottage Hills, grandparents, Sheila Hurlbut and Maynard Hurlbut of Cottage Hills and in laws, Sever and Jennifer Leone and brother in law, Triston Leone all from Alton. 

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the family. Gent Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Additional information and online guest book may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
