Mary Quartz

Mary Ann Quartz, nee Lipsmire, 101, of Belleville, IL, born August 4, 1923, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at The Villas of Holly Brook, Belleville, IL.

Mary was a member of the Wow’s club of Ferguson, MO. Mary enjoyed travelling the world with her friends and doing water aerobics at the Florissant Civic Center. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Quartz; her parents, William and Mary, nee Mandeville, Lipsmire; two sons, Doug and Greg Quartz; three sisters, Patricia, Pauline, and Louise; and two brothers, James and Ronnie Lipsmire.

Mary is survived by her four children, Dan (Debbie) Quartz, Stephen (Joy) Quartz, Pat Quartz, and Michael Quartz; six grandchildren, Dan (Kendra) Quartz, Kelly (Josh) Hubbard, Jennifer (Tim) Taylor, Meghan Quartz, John Quartz, and Kara Quartz; and five great-grandchildren, Lukas, FaithAnn, Eli, Bo, and Adam.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.

Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
