Marolyn Ebbert, age 83, passed away peacefully at home in Godfrey at 9:58 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Born on June 11, 1941, in Alton, IL, Marolyn was the daughter of the late Richard Dale and Marilyn Burnell (Thompson) Pinkerton. She was united in marriage to Joseph John Ebbert Jr. on December 7, 1962; he preceded her in death on July 7, 2010.
A proud graduate of East Alton - Wood River High School, Marolyn cherished spending time with her grandson, Eli, riding the 4-wheeler and watching him play baseball. She and had a deep love for plants, especially wildflowers. She enjoyed nature particularly fishing for crappie, bluegill and bird watching.
Marolyn is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Roger) Frazier of Marble Hill, MO, and Nancy Ebbert of Quincy, IL; a beloved grandson, Eli Frazier; and two sisters, Carolyn King of St. Charles, MO, and Pat (Roy) Haug of East Alton, IL. She is also remembered by several nieces, nephews, friends, and a close friend, Robert Heaton.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be handled by Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home and Crematory.
A celebration of life will be held 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Roper's Regal Beagle in Godfrey, Illinois.
