Mark Drury

Mark R. Drury, 42, of Overland, MO, born January 3, 1982, at Grand Forks Air Force Base, ND, died Thursday, November 28, 2024.

Mark was a Class of 2000 graduate of Belleville East High School and attended Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, IL.

Mark loved music. While in high school, Mark was a member of a ska band, “What’s Wrong with Nate”, performing for friends and classmates, as well as clubs in the St. Louis area. As an adult, Mark loved DJing in clubs and at home with friends. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Drury; his paternal grandparents, Richard T. and Lorraine Drury; his maternal grandfather, Doyle T. Smith; his maternal grandmother, Helen F. Smith; and a cousin, Kelly Drury Burkhart.

Surviving are his parents, Richard and Doylene Drury; his son, Mica Drury; a sister-in-law, Amy Drury; a nephew, Xavier (Helene) Drury; two nieces, Savannah and Aubrey Drury; a great-niece, Sloane Drury; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his faithful dog, Raven.

The family would like to thank Mark’s counselor, Jon Gergeceff, and the staff at Liss & Associates for their continued care and support for Mark over the years.

According to Mark’s wishes, cremation was held and there will be no services scheduled at this time.
