Marian Louise DeLassus, 80, died at 5:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born June 6, 1931 in Alton, she was the daughter of Edward and Fannie (McGuire) Kuehnel. She married Richard DeLassus on September 15, 1950. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dennis DeLassus and wife Brenda of Brighton, and Ron DeLassus and wife Debbie all of Brighton, a daughter-in-law, Janet Borror and husband Bill of Brighton, three grandchildren, Barry DeLassus (Melissa) of Troy, IL, Carrie Ward (Allen) of Brighton, and Wade DeLassus of Brighton, two great grandchildren, Layla Ward and Lora DeLassus. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Harold E. DeLassus. Burial will be private at Brighton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the 5A’s Animal Shelter.
