Marcia Jameson

Marcia Kay Jameson, 75, died at 2:02 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2025 at her home in Godfrey. She was born February 6, 1950 in Alton, she was the daughter of Glenn R. and Helen (Mulqueeny) Jameson. 

Marcia was a longtime member of Evangelical United Church of Christ in Godfrey. She sang with the choir for a number of years and played Timpani for Easter services for many years.

Marcia was a graduate of Arcadia High School in Arcadia, CA. She received an Associate of Arts Degree from Pasadena City College and a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from California State at Los Angeles, CA. She also taught music for several years.

She is survived by her friend, Brian Hogue of Alton.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Gregg Jameson and two sisters, Jane Elizabeth Jameson and Carole Ann Jameson. 

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Gent Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Godfrey. Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Godfrey.
