Lois Otto

Lois Marie Otto, 93, of Godfrey, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 17, 2026 with her family by her side at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Lois was born on May 31, 1932 to Frank and Lily King. Lois was employed by Brown Shoe Factory and was the Business Manager at Gilbert’s Ethan Allen Furniture Company. Lois traveled extensively and was an avid bowler and golfer, achieving two hole in one’s. She will be remembered with love and laughter.

She is survived by her children, Debra Sherwin and Michael (Kathy) Scoggins; grandchildren, Jonathan Sherwin, Michelle Sherwin, Jennifer (Ryan) Kaffer, Jeff (Cassie) Sherwin, Katie (Ryan) Otwell, Chris (Amanda) Scoggins, Matt Scoggins and great grandchildren, Wyatt Sherwin, Madison Kaffer, Ryan Kaffer, David Sherwin, Carter Sherwin, Sam Ottwell, Harper Scoggins, Beckham Scoggins, Sloane Scoggins, Gracie Scoggins and Emma Scoggins and her sister, Barb Cates.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, Godfrey. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery in Bethalto, IL.
