Linda L. Young, 81, of Bethalto, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
She was born on March 10, 1943 in Pocahontas, Arkansas, the daughter of Paul E. and Glenda P. (Shank) Pratt.
Linda worked as a realtor for 44 years and was the managing broker at Landmark Realty until her retirement in 2020. She was a member of the Board of Realtors Association. Linda enjoyed working, reading, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Beth (Bruce) Cleybergh of Jensen Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Adam (fiancé Alaina Trosley) Lucas of Bethalto, and Taylor (Taylor Payne-Bedar) Bedar of Bethalto; three siblings, Larry (Sharon) Pratt of Godfrey, Mike (Judy) Pratt of Columbia, MO, and Kerri (Pete) Forsythe of Moro; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Heine; a sister, Pauletta Ward; a brother-in-law, Gene Ward; and a son-in-law, Randy Lucas.
Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Services and inurnment will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 2 p.m., at Jarrett Cemetery in Maynard, Arkansas, with Pastor Nelson Henderson officiating.
Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto is assisting the family with final wishes.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
