Linda Darlene Donato, 84, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
Linda was born December 27, 1941 in Alton, Illinois to Harold and Lorene (Ramsey) Mayhall.
She married Jack Donato on September 15, 1990 in Alton, Illinois.
She was a 1959 graduate of Alton Senior High School. She was a member of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. She previously participated with the Altar Society at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Alton Auxiliary at the VFW and the Friends of the Hayner Library. She enjoyed scrapbooking, genealogy, and traveling.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers Harold Mayhall and Jason (Theresa) Mayhall.
She is survived by her children, John Wilburn Schultz (Patty), Jeffrey Schultz (Jeanne), Kevin Schultz (Laura), Denise Browning (Doug), Rob Donato (Dawn), grandchildren Wesley, Zachary, Thomas, Megan (Sam), Brent (Rowan), Jessica (Phillip), Emily, Amber (Chris), Danielle, Janna, Jordan; along with numerous beloved great-grandchildren….. and her beloved cat, Elvis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 4pm till 7pm at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10am on Friday, June 12, 2026 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey, IL. with burial following at Valhalla Memorial Park.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her friend and caretaker Donneetia Price along with the amazing staff at Asbury Village
