Lawrence Vernon Fortin, 89, of Gillespie, IL, died at Hallmark Healthcare of Carlinville, IL on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 2:25 pm.
He was born May 25, 1932, in Greenville, IL to Charles Fortin & Lillian (Oglesby) Fortin. He married Judith Faye (Huddleston) Fortin. She preceded him in death on April 26, 2021.
He was a laborer for Olin Brass. Lawrence enjoyed woodworking, gardening and loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary (Jeff) Pocklington of Moberly, MO, Trudi Herron of Staunton, IL, Sarah Brozio of Springfield, IL, grandchildren, Steven Baker, Dillon Brozio, Elizabeth Herron, Jacob Herron, Charles Ray Baker, Kylie Brozio, Alex Herron, Amelia Herron, Angelia Baker, Jeffrey Herron, Grace Herron, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, and 11 brothers and sisters. No public services will be held.
