Kimberly Wallis

Kimberly “Kimmie” Gay Wallis, 48, peacefully passed away early Saturday morning, October 5, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born March 30, 1976 in Litchfield, IL, she was the daughter of William Wallis of Carrollton and Pauline Cameron of Alton. Surviving are her two daughters, Sabrina Bron and Kashmira Bron of Alton, her one son, Luis Bron of Alton, and her siblings, Shannon and Danny Dorks of Rockbridge, Misty Wallis and Grady Womack of Alton, Mary Robinson (Price) of Jerseyville, and Brandy Wallis of Pittsfield.

In her youth, Kimmie attended ISD, where she excelled at many sports, including softball and volleyball. She later attended Gallaudet University, before graduating from SIUE. Kimmie was a very beautiful, free spirit who loved life, nature, music, and being an aunt to her many nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Ivelice Garrido will officiate. Memorials may be made to the family’s GoFundMe, “Help Kimberly Wallis’ Family in Their Time of Loss." Gent Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
