Kathy D. Hume, 66, of Edwardsville, IL died on Monday, April 6, 2026 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
She was born on April 16, 1959 in Granite City, IL to Ivan Luther Griffin and Bonnie Irene (nee: Morris) Griffin.
Kathy married Michael Pyatt in Alton, IL on June 10, 2011.
The loving wife, mother, and grandmother enjoyed watching classic movies. Kathy was an excellent cook which her family will dearly miss. She loved her family and especially loved being a grandmother.
Kathy is survived by her husband; a son, Ernest (Amber) Hume of Edwardsville; a grandson, Alexander Hume; a brother, Robert Griffin of Granite City and a niece, Adena Burns of Benld, IL.
Besides her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by a sister, Danni Griffin.
A memorial visitation will be held at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory on Tues. Apr. 14, 2026 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
