June C. Meyer, age 85 of Alhambra, IL, died Saturday, May 04, 2019, at Alhambra Care Center in Alhambra, IL.
She was born on July 05, 1933, in Jamestown, IL, the daughter of William "Bill" and Cleda (nee Foehner) Mewes.
On April 25, 1954, she married Roy E. Meyer at St. Paul E&R Church Jamestown, IL. He passed away on December 12, 2015.
She was a member of Saint Paul's United Church of Christ. She was also a member of Life Member of St. Paul United Church of Christ - Jamestown; Church Women's Guild; Pocahontas Senior Citizens.
June was born at Jamestown, IL and grew up on a farm south of town. She graduated Breese High School . She was a stay-at-home Mom. She had lived in Mascoutah, Trenton (until 1965), south of Greenville (until 1987) then south of Pocahontas until going to the nursing home. June was a soloist for her church and performed at many weddings and funerals. She enjoyed cooking, baking and writing letters, for over 25 years, with pen pals from other states. She collected over 300 cat figurines and loved going antiquing and to rummage sales with her brother. June never obtained a drivers license.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 08, 2019, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL .
Funeral Services will be at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 08, 2019, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. Dave Trover officiating.
Interment will be at Jamestown Cemetery in Jamestown, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jamestown Cemetery.
