Judy Lynn Lane Falkenhain, nee Walta, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born on February 12, 1957, in New Athens, IL, to the late Dale and Shirley Walta.
Judy was a registered nurse, a profession she approached with compassion and dedication. A caretaker by nature, she consistently put the needs of others before her own and was known for her willingness to help whenever she was needed.
She was a member of Programs and Services for Older Persons (PSOP) in Belleville, IL, and the Belleville/Swansea Moose Lodge 1221 in Swansea, IL, where she valued fellowship and community.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Sidney Walta and Ricky Walta; and her former spouse, Harold Kohlmeier.
Judy is survived by her spouse, Bruce Falkenhain; her children, Tyler Kohlmeier and his wife, Cara, and Tanya Kranzusch and her husband, Greg; her grandchildren, Kyle Hidalgo, Ryan Hidalgo, and Samantha Kranzusch. She is also survived by her siblings, Rodney Walta, Randy Walta, Jeffrey Walta, Susy Garvey, and Mary Walta; and many dear nieces and nephews.
