Joseph Harper

Joseph Harper, 81, passed away September 6, 2024 at his residence.

Born June 14, 1943 in Alton, he was the son of Joseph and Sena Maxine (Steele) Harper.

A U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran, he had been employed as a quality control inspector for Ford Motor Company for 32 years before retiring in 2005.

He married Patricia Lovelady on June 12, 1965 in Reno, NV. She survives.

Surviving also are two sons, Terry (Mary Jane) Harper in TN; Cody Harper of Wood River; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of expenses.
